I Think tells the start of the love Tyler was about to lose in Earfquake. The singer feels like he's falling in love in a brand new way. But the track isn't only a love song, it also introduces the toxic side of this love. Tyler is described as a puppet, which is a recurring theme in the record.
The other important narrative revelation in I Think is the fact that Tyler is in love with a man. I believe it's important to remember how He was accused of homophoby because of his early works, where the use of the f-word and a general offensive language towards gay people were frequent. I don't want to discuss how much of this was meant to be provocative or how much was allowed. The interesting side is that, in my opinion, IGOR isn't only a love story, but also a clear explanation of Tyler's early discography. The reason behind it will be clearer when the titular character enters the scene.
